What are the uses of the Biolase Epic soft tissue laser?
Below are the three different treatments offered at our practice using the Biolase Epic:
- Soft tissue surgery. The Biolase Epic device performs soft tissue surgery to treat ulcers, lesions, or a “gummy smile.” It can recontour the gumline with a less invasive process than more traditional means.
- Pain management. Conditions such as temporomandibular joint disorder, sometimes referred to as TMJ/TMD, can be alleviated with laser treatment, which relaxes the muscles around the jaw joint to relieve pain.
- Laser teeth whitening. The Biolase Epic device can also be used for professional teeth whitening. A full treatment session takes less than 30 minutes and can boost the color of the teeth up to five shades brighter. This allows for fast and convenient in-office whitening.
