Why we are “all in” on All-on-4 dental implants to replace many missing, failing teeth
Advanced Dental wouldn’t be living up to its name if we didn’t offer dental implants. This form of modern tooth replacement is the most advanced that dentists like Drs. Chitra Tiruveedula and Joseph C. Yang provide to their patients. Unlike older types of tooth replacement, this option replaces the tooth root (with an implant) as well as the visible part of the tooth, its crown. Due to further advances in dentistry and implantology, we can even place an entire upper or lower denture by using a minimal number of dental implants to support the appliance.
All-on-4 Implants in Aliso Viejo, California
After an implant is placed in the jaw, it naturally fuses to the bone. Once this process has occurred, the implant can then be attached to the prosthetic. The All-on-4 system allows us to attach a denture to as few as four implants. All the prosthetic teeth in the denture are then stabilized by minimal yet strategically positioned implants or “artificial tooth roots.”
Advanced Dental also uses the latest diagnostic technologies to support treatment planning. So, we can ensure that the implants are positioned precisely and in the right spots to optimally retain the teeth in the denture.
This approach has many advantages for individuals with many missing or failing teeth that need to be extracted. They include:
- Less time in treatment
- Fewer implant or treatment sites
- Less trauma to the mouth
- Costs are minimized with fewer implants (the implant is the most expensive part of the process)
- As a less invasive approach, risks of side effects and complications are further minimized
- Encourages faster healing
- Suitable for patients with bone loss who are not candidates for bone grafting (as a “graft-less” procedure)
- Can be placed on the same day, during the same visit that extractions or removal of teeth are performed
In addition to All-on-4, we also offer mini-implants as a conservative, smaller-sized alternative to “standard” implants. Dr. Tiruveedula and Yang provide many surgical procedures (including soft tissue and bone grafting) for appropriate patients with tissue loss or resorption. No two treatments are the same.
